RMT’s Pavement Preservation Platform Becomes Even More Robust with AADT Traffic Volume Data Integration

Little Rock, ARRoadway Management Technologies (RMT) – the leader in pavement preservation and proprietor of a full suite of performance tracking solutions, including state-of-the-art technology for assessing, maintaining, and improving infrastructure – has announced the integration of reliable Annual Average Daily Traffic (AADT) traffic volume data into its revolutionary, proprietary platform.

“Our pavement preservation analytics solution used around the country has now become even more robust with our ability to integrate the AADT transport metric of street traffic volume into our dataset,” said RMT CEO Candler McCollum.

“Our platform collects and assesses real-time data of road quality, helping prioritize road repair needs, associated costs, and ROI, as well as helping provide the necessary information to extend the life of city roadways. By fully integrating traffic volume data into our machine learning and AI technology, we’re now incorporating and providing another crucial dataset to help our cities, counties and state agencies make informed decisions about their road networks with better predictive analytics on future deterioration.”

AADT traffic volume data is the total volume of vehicle travel on a road for an entire year, divided by 365.

“The ability to monitor pavement deterioration on a daily basis has been the driver for future modeling, however our ability to understand traffic volume and patterns throughout these networks is the next evolution in data interpretation, of which we are leading the way,” said McCollum.

RMT utilizes machine learning and AI technology to provide an agency with real-time pavement performance analytics. This advanced technology is easily deployed, providing information that was previously unattainable. Its proprietary systems were developed specifically for government agencies that are responsible for maintaining their area’s infrastructure.

“Our pavement preservation platform makes the current methods used by cities, counties and agencies of assessing and evaluating roadways completely obsolete,” said McCollum. “Instead of trying to self-analyze and apply outdated information to road repair solutions, we can now rely on real-time data that’s constantly learning to provide the analyses and ROI on preservation projects and provide actionable solutions for extending the life of roadways.”

“Our infrastructure nationwide needs repair, but we can now do it the right way, stretching taxpayer dollars smartly and effectively with an innovative solution that makes it frictionless for those applying it,” added McCollum.

Roadway Management Technologies’ full suite of solutions includes Real-Time Pavement Performance Analytics, Work Order Management, Fleet Management, and Asset Management, providing agencies with a single solution for all performance tracking needs. RMT is the proud recipient of the 2023 American Public Works Association (APWA) Top Technology Award for the third consecutive year.
